Questions, answered.
How do I check my screen time on Windows?
Windows doesn't come with a screen time dashboard like your phone has. Install ScreenWise from the Microsoft Store and it tracks from the tray: today's total, every app you used, and a timeline of your day, split into active, passive and idle time. Can I set time limits for apps on Windows?
Yes. ScreenWise gives any app a daily limit. Pick a single warning, a reminder every 15 minutes, or strict mode, which minimises the app once you're over. You get a heads-up when 5 minutes are left.Does ScreenWise track websites?
Not yet. It tracks apps, so your browser counts as one app. Website tracking is on the list.Is ScreenWise private?
Yes. Everything stays in a database on your PC, and ScreenWise makes no network requests at all. There's no account, and it never reads window titles. Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Export everything to JSON from Settings, choose how long full detail is kept, from 3 months to forever, or delete it all in one go.Does it work on Windows 10?
Yes. ScreenWise runs on Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. The optional Mica glass look needs Windows 11.Is ScreenWise free?
Yes. It's free on the Microsoft Store. No trial, no account.
